Minister Laurent TCHAGBA inaugurates a water tower and an HVA system

On Friday, February 11, 2022, the Minister of Hydraulics went to two regions to carry out inaugurations.

In the morning, he went to the Bagoué region to inaugurate the water tower in the locality of N’Ddara. Funded by the Water Development Fund (FDE) up to 271,286,000 CFA, this 50 m3 water tower will produce 160 m3/day for a need for 48 m3/day. A surplus of 112 m3/day which will guarantee access to drinking water to the populations of N'Dara until 2036. At this ceremony, Minister Laurent Tchagba was accompanied by his colleague, Minister Mariatou Kone, Minister of National Education and Literacy, also a deputy mayor of the commune of Boundiali and executives of the region.

In the afternoon, the Minister of Hydraulics visited the populations of the village of Kokaha. He was accompanied by the Minister of Sanitation and Health, Mr. Bouaké Fofana, the Minister of Communication of the Media and La Francophonie, Mr. Amadou Coulibaly, of the Director General of ONEP, Mr. Ibrahiman Berte and High executives who came in large numbers to support the action of Minister Laurent Tchagba. Together, they gave a smile to the Kokaha populations by inaugurating the HVA system of this locality of the Koni sub-prefecture in the Poro region. The project from which the village of Kokaha benefits is the result of tripartite financing of the BID with a contribution of 6 billion 250 million CFA francs, or 71.4% of the total amount, Côte d'Ivoire with 2 billion 443 million 393 miles CFA francs, or 27.9% and the last financial contribution is that of UEMOA, namely 63 million CFA francs, or 0.70%. The works will consist of the realization of 120 boreholes equipped with human motor skills, 30 water castles, 98 improved latrines and 4,845 domiciliary latrines.

This project generally covers the regions of Poro, Bagoué, Tchologo, the district of savannas and Dengélélé. The village of Kokaha produces 88 m3/day for a need for 50 m3/day, an excess of 38 m3/day. The population of this locality of 5,500 people will have access to drinking water until 2034.
