Drinking water for the populations of Carrefour Norbert

As part of the water supply projects financed by the Conseil de l'Entente, five (5) boreholes were drilled in the department of Méagui and one of the beneficiary localities was chosen to host the inauguration of these structures. Thus, on Friday, November 16, 2018, the Minister of Hydraulics, Mr. TCHAGBA Laurent proceeded to the inauguration of a borehole equipped with a human motor pump in Carrefour Norbert, a village in the sub-prefecture of Méagui , in the presence of the Director General of ONEP and the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Council of the Entente. During this ceremony, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the Council of the Entente which supports the Ivorian Government in its quest to bring water to all populations, even in the most remote areas of the country, and specified that the 5 boreholes were only a pilot project. A total of 15 boreholes will be drilled by the Conseil de l'Entente throughout the national territory to provide drinking water to the population. He recalled that the "Water for All" Program, which was launched by Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly in Galébré a few months ago, is underway to provide drinking water to the Ivorian populations.

The 5 boreholes equipped with human-powered pumps were drilled in the following villages: Ahoutouagui, Koréagui, Norbert Carrefour, Touanié, Konan Blékro Dioula  for a total cost of 39,750,000 FCFA.
