From February 11 to 16, 2018, was held in Bamako the 19th Congress of the African Water Association, under the theme: “Accelerating access to sanitation and water in Africa facing the challenges of change climate change “. It emerged from this Congress that this theme evokes a major challenge, and winning this challenge, calls the genius of man. Also, the woman must take her place in the fight against climate change that requires innovation, solidarity and complementarity as strongly recommended by the 3rd Women’s Forum.
With regard to Drinking Water, several papers presented examples of successes that have made use of ICTs to minimize losses by charging for all water supplied and improving service provision to the poorest populations. These examples of successes due to the ICTs, make it possible also to ensure the security and the protection of the water resource everywhere, by all and for all while respecting the water for the nature.
This Congress, which was a great success as a whole, was attended by a strong delegation from ONEP headed by the President of the Board Mrs N’dioré Aya Adèle and the General Director of ONEP Mr. Berté Ibrahiman.
It is important to remember that, the ONEP booth enjoyed a great attraction during this 19th Congress of the AFWA.
