Established by decree 2006-274 of August 23, 2006, the National Drinking Water Office (ONEP) is a State company governed by law n ° 2020-626 of August 14, 2020, with a capital of 150 million FCFA and subject to the uniform acts of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA).
Placed under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Health and the financial supervision of the Ministry of Budget and State Portfolio. ONEP has a Board of Directors of eight (8) members from the ministries that are stakeholders in the drinking water sector. This Board of Directors is headed by a Chairman, Monsieur Louis KOUAKOU-HABONOUAN.
ONEP is headed by a Director General, Mr Ibrahiman BERTE, who is assisted in his duties by a Deputy General Manager, Madame Nabintou CISSE, consultants and related services.
