Minister Bouaké FOFANA visits hydraulic sites in Gbêkê

In his capacity as Minister of Hydraulics, in addition to the sanitation and sanitation portfolio, Mr. Bouaké Fofana went to the department of Bouaké as part of a site visit to the major works of current hydraulic infrastructure. On Friday, June 3, 2022, the Minister of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Healthy Visit several sites. In particular, the Loka dam site, the Loka - Konsou route (water intake), the pumping station, the Konsou (water intake) - Loka, the treatment station. A visit that has been the subject of an explicit and concise presentation of the achievements of the project manager of this vast program, Mr. Idriss Katié Konate, also head of service of structuring projects at the ONEP.

Minister BOUAKÉ FOFANA was accompanied in this tour by the Minister of Transport, Mr. Amadou KONE, Minister Governor, Mr. Jean-Claude KOUASSI, Director General of ONEP, Mr. Ibrahiman Berte, Director General of the Onad, Mr. Amara Sanogo, administrative and customary authorities and several executives and elected officials from the region.

This exit was important since it allowed Minister Bouaké Fofana to, not only soak up the hydraulic work which benefits this region of Côte d'Ivoire, but also to see very closely the challenges that await it in the drinking water sector.

In its dynamic to better understand the realities of the sector, the Minister met all the regional directors of hydraulics, in order to know them and explain their working vision to them. The major complaint made by regional directors was the maintenance of the regional hydraulic directions in the different regions, in addition to those of sanitation. The Minister of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Health has delighted this meeting and expressed his desire to see these two ministries, now merged, work in synergy so as to produce convincing results for the well-being of populations.

The stay of Minister Bouaké Fofana in the Gbêkê region ended with the visit of the liquid waste processing unit and the clean city operation throughout the city of Bouaké.
