From November 6 to 18, 2022, COP 27 will be held in Egypt on Climate Change.
This meeting recorded the participation of representatives of member countries and non-state actors: local authorities, NGOs, scientists.
The 2022 edition will allow action to be taken to achieve the collective goals of the world, as agreed in the Paris agreement in 2016 by the convention.
It should be recalled that following COP 26 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, nations should demonstrate at COP 27 that they are in a new era of implementation by delivering on their commitments under the Paris agreement.
Environment, sanitation and water specialists will debate on topics related to climate change, and the Director General of ONEP, Mr. BERTE Ibrahiman is part of the Ivorian delegation led by the Vice-President, Mr Tiémoko Meyliet KONE, for this purpose.
They will also have to present themselves in force at the negotiations on climate and biodiversity, to talk about the preservation of forest cover but also about "access to climate finance" and the "price per tonne of carbon".
