As a prelude to the visit of the Minister of Hydraulics, Sanitation and Health, the Director General of ONEP, Mr. Ibrahiman BERTE proceeded to the visit of the various construction sites of the project of design and construction of a 150,000 m water treatment plant3/d, Thursday, August 18, 2022.

Accompanied by his closest collaborators, including the Deputy General Manager, Mrs. Nabintou CISSE and the Technical Advisor, Mr. KOUADIO Delphin, the DG went to the Abatta water towers site, to the pipe laying site , the flood zone, the water intake and the treatment plant of the said project.

This site visit allowed the Project Manager, Ms. Patricia DALLY TAGRO to present the physical and financial progress of the project. She essentially indicated in her presentation that this project will improve the conditions of access to drinking water for the populations of the beneficiary districts, to connect the village of Anyama-Débarcadère to the national road network by the construction of an access road of up to 10 km (Cocody Abatta-Anyama-Débarcadère), to improve the living conditions of the populations by the construction of a maternity hospital and a sewage treatment plant in Anyama Landing stage.

Also, she meant that an autonomous drinking water supply system will be built in Koffakoi and will create 450 fixed-term jobs during the construction phase and permanent jobs during the construction phase. operation of hydraulic works and installations.

After the various visits, the CEO expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the work observed in the field. He invited the construction companies to double the rate of execution of the project to catch up with the delay due to the floods and the crisis in Ukraine.

This site visit ended with a debriefing session with all the project stakeholders, namely the Delegated Contracting Authority (ONEP), the Project Manager (BNETD), and the construction company (FLUENCE and its subcontractors).
